About Deacon Phillippe

Born 1872 in Rural Retreat, VA (d. 1952), Deacon Phillippe was a right-handed pitcher who debuted in 1899 and played 13 major-league seasons. He went 189-109 with a 2.59 ERA and 929 strikeouts across 372 appearances.
