The 1954 Topps Complete Set Break

Our site’s second break is of a gorgeous, mid-high grade complete 1954 Topps Baseball set. We’re proud to announce it has filled and that’ll we’ll run the randomizer tomorrow live at 5PM EST.

About the Set

The 1954 Topps checklist contains 250 cards, and this set does not contain variations, so the break also has 250 spots. The checklist is absolutely loaded with Hall of Famers, including iconic rookie cards of Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, Al Kaline and Tom Lasorda. Review the charts for visualized set composition metrics and the  checklist for specific conditions of each card in the set.

How It Works

For those not familiar with randomized set breaks, participants purchase a spot which guarantees them one random card from the set. After we fill and payments are collected, the list will be randomized and each spot will be assigned a random card from the set. A spot will hit the Aaron RC, a spot will hit the Banks RC, etc. 

Skunk Protection 

Every spot that hits a raw, non-HOF card in Fair - VG condition will receive one additional 1950s Topps card and will also be entered to win one of seven additional prizes including a PSA 6 1962 Topps card of Mickey Mantle & Willie Mays, as detailed in this  Facebook post.

Getting Competitive

Vintage Breaks is one of the few other companies in the space breaking up vintage sets in this model. Three days prior to our break posting, they posted a  directly competitive 1954 Topps break priced at $95/spot as well. Our break sold out within 10 days of being posted. As I write this, Vintage Breaks’ 1954 Break still has 122 spots remaining.

Despite Vintage Breaks' lead time as a company and notably larger following, breaks ran by T206Cards.com will continue to fill faster since they will offer more value, faster fills & shipping, and greater transparency. Some key differences between the two 1954 Topps breaks:

• We provided a full checklist with conditions of each card, they did not
• Our set has 112 graded cards, their has just the 5 pictured
• Our Kaline is autographed, theirs is a PSA 3
• Our Willie is a PSA 4, theirs is a PSA 2.5
• Our Jackie is a PSA 6, theirs is a PSA 2.5
• Cards from our break ship out Monday, cards from theirs will ship in a few more weeks after it fills and runs
