The story on this card

Card 377 in the 1963 Topps set is the Baltimore Orioles team card, part of the fifth series. It reports on a club coming off a 1962 season that ended 77-85 under manager Billy Hitchcock, seventh in the American League and nineteen games behind the pennant-winning Yankees, playing home games at Memorial Stadium. The team photo carried five future Hall of Famers: third baseman Brooks Robinson, already a Gold Glove fixture at the hot corner; knuckleballer Hoyt Wilhelm, anchoring the bullpen; veteran right-hander Robin Roberts, added to the staff that June; and Whitey Herzog and Dick Williams, both late in their playing careers and destined for Hall of Fame managerial careers. The card is a standard team-card issue.
