The story on this card

Card 213 in the 1964 Topps set is the Los Angeles Angels team card, part of the third print series and reporting on the club's 1963 campaign under manager Bill Rigney. That season the Angels went 70-91, finishing ninth in the American League at Chavez Ravine, their second year sharing the ballpark. Ken McBride, Albie Pearson and Leon Wagner represented the club at the All-Star Game, with Pearson hitting .304 and McBride winning 13 games, while shortstop Jim Fregosi logged 154 games and batted .287. The card carries a team photo under the club name, the standard format Topps used across its team-card subset that year.
