Nineteen of the twenty 1964 franchises have a team card; the Houston Colt .45s are the one club without one.

The story on this card

This card reports on the 1963 New York Mets, who finished last in the National League at 51-111, 48 games behind the pennant-winning Dodgers, in their final season at the Polo Grounds before the move to Shea Stadium. Casey Stengel, a future Hall of Fame manager on the strength of his Yankees dynasty years, ran the club, and the roster carried two more future Hall of Famers: Gil Hodges, the slugging former Dodgers first baseman in his last season as a Met, and outfielder Duke Snider, once part of the famed Dodgers-Giants-Yankees center-field trio of the 1950s. Card number 27 belongs to the ordinary first print series.
