1966 Topps #194 Washington Senators
Hall of Famers on the 1965 Washington Senators roster: Gil Hodges.

About this card
Nineteen team cards cover twenty clubs - Houston has none. Three of them, #303 Indians, #326 Braves and #404 Pirates, were printed with and without a dot between the standings line and the league name in the band at the foot of the front, and both states are tracked here.
The story on this card
This team card reports the Senators' 1965 season, an eighth-place finish in the American League at 70-92, well back of the pennant-winning Twins. Gil Hodges managed the club from D.C. Stadium, later renamed RFK Stadium. Frank Howard powered the lineup with 21 home runs, 84 RBIs and a .289 average, and Ken McMullen backed him up at third base with 18 homers. On the mound, Pete Richert went 15-12 with a 2.60 ERA as the top starter, while Ron Kline logged 29 saves out of the bullpen. Card #194 belongs to Topps' second print series, and manager Hodges was a future Hall of Famer. The design frames the team photo in the standard 1966 team-card layout used across the set that year.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Data as of 2026-09-04. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. Where SGC registers no separate row for a variation state, its slabs of that card are listed under the base state.
