1967 Topps #191 3rd Series Checklist: 197-283
Two print states: the error version lists card #214 as Dick Kelley with Mays' neck cropped out; the corrected version lists him as Tom Kelley with Mays' neck visible.

About this card
The seven checklist cards (#62, 103, 191, 278, 361, 454, 531) introduced floating-head star photos - Frank Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Jim Kaat, Roberto Clemente, Juan Marichal and Brooks Robinson in card order. From 1967 each checklist's range matches one distribution series exactly: #62 lists its own series (1-109), and the other six each list the series after the one they were issued in. Four of the seven (#62, #103, #191, #454) carry catalogued variations.
The story on this card
Card #191 is the third series checklist from the 1967 Topps set, listing card numbers 197 through 283, with Willie Mays pictured on the front rather than a plain list. Collectors track two printing states, separated by a single line: the error printing names card #214 as Dick Kelley, while the corrected printing lists him as Tom Kelley. The correction also touched the photo, with Mays' neck missing in the error version and visible in the corrected one. Checklist cards like this one are popular with set builders seeking a clean, unmarked example, since most survived with pencil or pen check marks from the young collectors who used them to track their sets.
Print variations
Two states of #191 are tracked individually: 191a - 214 Is Tom Kelley and 191b - 214 Is Dick Kelley. The difference is on the front of the card (checklist text).
States catalogued by the PSA master set registry and the Trading Card Database; each is tracked here individually.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Data as of 2026-09-04. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. Where a grader registers a variation separately its population is listed under that variation; SGC slabs whose label names no variation are listed as not designated, while PSA slabs whose label names no variation are counted under 191a - 214 Is Tom Kelley. PSA registers a row for every one of the 624 states; SGC lists no separate row for the #149 white-streak state.

Frequently asked questions
What is the 1967 Topps #191 card?
It is card #191 of the 609-card 1967 Topps Baseball set, 3rd Series Checklist: 197-283.
What is the Tom Kelley / Dick Kelley variation?
It is a line inside this checklist, not a variation of either pitcher's card: the base state lists #214 as Tom Kelley (his card), the variant prints it as Dick Kelley (whose card is #138), and the variant also shows Willie Mays' floating head with the neck retouched away. #138 and #214 themselves have no variation.
Does 1967 Topps #191 have variations?
Yes. Two states are catalogued and tracked individually: 191a - 214 Is Tom Kelley (Line 214 reads "Tom Kelley" and the Mays floating-head photo shows his neck - the corrected state) and 191b - 214 Is Dick Kelley (Line 214 reads "Dick Kelley" and the Mays photo is retouched with the neck missing. Dick Kelley is a line item inside this checklist variant, not a trade-line variation of his own card). Owning any one of them fills the #191 slot; the master set counts each state.
How many cards are in the 1967 Topps Baseball set?
609 cards, tracked as 624 collectible states. Numbers run from 1 to 609 without a gap - no number was skipped and none was used twice - and 15 cards carry catalogued print variations that the master set counts separately.
