The story on this card
Card 407 in the 1967 Topps set is the Cincinnati Reds team card, part of the set's fifth print series. It reports on the 1966 club, which finished seventh in the National League at 76-84 and changed managers in midseason when Dave Bristol replaced Don Heffner. The 1966 roster included first baseman Tony Perez, who would reach the Hall of Fame; second baseman Pete Rose and center fielder Vada Pinson, both past .280 that year; and third baseman Tommy Helms, who won National League Rookie of the Year. Reliever Billy McCool led the staff with 18 saves and a sub-2.50 ERA. Like the other 1967 Topps team cards, it pairs a posed team photo on the front with the club's 1966 batting and pitching leaders on the back.
