The story on this card

This team card reports on the 1966 Minnesota Twins, who went 89-73 under manager Sam Mele and finished second in the American League, nine games behind the pennant-winning Orioles, while drawing over 1.25 million fans to Metropolitan Stadium. Jim Kaat won 25 games, Tony Oliva led the league with 191 hits, and Harmon Killebrew hit 39 home runs with 110 RBIs; all three, along with catcher Earl Battey, represented the club at the All-Star Game that summer. Part of Topps' third series for 1967, card #211 pairs a posed team photo on the front with the club's 1966 batting and pitching leaders on the back; Kaat, Killebrew and Oliva, all future Hall of Famers, were on the 1966 Minnesota roster.
