Hall of Famers on the 1966 Washington Senators roster: Gil Hodges.

Nineteen of the twenty 1967 franchises have a team card; Houston has none for the fourth straight year - its last was the 1963 Colt .45's card. The Kansas City Athletics card is the franchise's last before the move to Oakland.
The story on this card
Card 437 is the Washington Senators team card from the fifth print series of 1967 Topps, built around a posed team photograph rather than a checklist. In 1966 the Senators went 71-88 and finished eighth in the American League under manager Gil Hodges. Hodges, a future Hall of Famer, managed that club; he would leave Washington to manage the Mets once the 1967 season closed, ending his five-year run as Senators skipper. That club had played its home games at D.C. Stadium in the nation's capital, drawing modest crowds despite a roster of regulars who would carry the team through the late 1960s, even as its standing in a crowded American League field remained a struggle.
