The front pictures Denny McLain.

About this card
The seven checklist cards (#57, 107, 214, 314, 412, 504, 582) each list one series, and every checklist after the first was printed inside the series before the one it lists - #107 "2nd Series Check List" is a series-1 card. Six of the seven carry an inset photo of a star player, and two of them (#107 and #582) exist in two printing states.
The story on this card
Card 57 is the first-series checklist for 1969 Topps, printed in series one; it pictures pitcher Denny McLain at the top as the header photo. It inventories the set's opening 109 cards, running from card 1, the American League 1968 Batting Leaders panel of Carl Yastrzemski, Danny Cater and Tony Oliva, through card 109, Jim Lonborg. The full 1969 Topps set ran to 664 cards across seven series, and six later checklists, #107 through #582, covered the series that followed. As a checklist rather than a player card, it carries no biography of its own.
