Across PSA and SGC, roughly 1079 examples have been graded, with only 20 in NM 7 or better — a reminder of how tough this issue is in high grade.

About Moose Grimshaw

Myron Frederick "Moose" Grimshaw was a first baseman and right fielder who broke into pro ball in 1898 with the London Cockneys of Ontario's Canadian League. The switch-hitter starred for the Buffalo Bisons of the Eastern League from 1902 to 1904, batting .325 and leading the circuit with 98 runs and 177 hits for Buffalo's 1904 pennant winners. That earned him a shot with the Boston Americans (later Red Sox), where he played 259 games over 1905-1907, hitting .290 to lead the club in 1906 before injuries and slumps ended his big-league run at a .256 career mark. Traded to the Eastern League's Toronto Maple Leafs, Grimshaw enjoyed his finest season in 1909, leading the league at .309, and he closed his career hitting .363 for the 1911 Louisville Colonels. The nickname "Moose," per SABR, traced to his large, "awkward-looking" frame (he stood 6-foot-1). His T206 card, part of the 350-series and issued as an Eastern League/Toronto subject, is one of the set's more obscure minor-league entries. He is not a Hall of Famer.
