About this card

The seven checklist cards (#22, 98, 192, 277, 367, 441, 516) list the set in 88-card blocks - 1-88, 89-176, 177-264, 265-352, 353-429, 430-506, 507-598 - that lag the real print series, which is why the high numbers are sometimes wrongly said to start at #507. Four of them exist in more than one state: #22 with a correct or an error back, #192 with and without a comma (and tinted), #441 in large or small print and #516 with white or yellow boxes.

The story on this card

Card 192 is the third checklist in the 1962 Topps set, printing the run from 177 through 264, numbers that carry past the end of its own series and into the next one. It was issued in the second series, the 110-196 block; it pictures no player. That whole second series was printed twice, and one of those runs came off with the odd green cast collectors call a green tint, copies that generally carry a slight premium. Number 192 comes in three states: the first printing reads Check List 3 with no comma, a later run added the comma to read Check List, 3, and the green-tinted copies belong to that comma printing.

Print variations

Three states of #192 are tracked individually: 192a - Check List 3, 192b - Check List, 3 and 192c - Check List, 3-Green Tint. The difference is on the front of the card (checklist text + green tint).

States catalogued by the PSA master set registry; each is tracked here individually.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Snapshot 2026-09-24. Half-grades fold down (8.5→8), and PSA's qualified grades are counted separately from the straight-grade rows shown here. Where a grader registers a variation separately its population is listed under that variation. Slabs of the three cards printed #139 are joined by description, never by number alone. PSA registers the green tints as a separate set; a tint's population is listed under that state of the card it belongs to.

Frequently asked questions

What is the 1962 Topps #192 card?

It is card #192 of the 600-card 1962 Topps Baseball set, Checklist 177-264. Does 1962 Topps #192 have variations?

Yes. Three states are catalogued and tracked separately: 192a - Check List 3 ("Check List 3" without the comma - the first printing. Some catalogs split this state further by whether the black line sits behind or in front of the inset; that sub-split is not a separate state here), 192b - Check List, 3 ("Check List, 3" with the comma) and 192c - Check List, 3-Green Tint (The comma state with the green tint - PSA registers the #192 tint on the comma version only). How many cards are in the 1962 Topps Baseball set?

600 cards, tracked as 708 collectible states. The numbers run from 1 to 598 with no gaps, but three different cards were printed #139 - two Hal Reniff poses, catalogued 139a and 139b, and the Babe Hits 60 Babe Ruth Special, 139c - so 598 numbers make 600 cards; 93 cards carry catalogued print variations, the series-2 green tints among them, that the master set counts separately.
