The story on this card

Card 373 is the Pittsburgh Pirates team card, part of print series 5 in the set. The card reports the 1963 club, which finished eighth in the National League at 74-88 under manager Danny Murtaugh, a steep fall from the 1960 championship. Roberto Clemente hit .320 with 17 home runs and was an All-Star, Bill Mazeroski was picked as an All-Star starter, and Willie Stargell, in a part-time rookie season, added 11 home runs. Bob Friend led the rotation with 17 wins, and Al McBean anchored the bullpen with a 2.57 ERA. The Pirates had traded Dick Groat to St. Louis that winter, reshaping the infield. The 1963 roster carried three future Hall of Famers: Clemente, Mazeroski, and Stargell.
