Hall of Famers on the 1964 Philadelphia Phillies roster: Dick Allen and Jim Bunning.

About this card
Nineteen of the twenty clubs have a team card in the 1965 Topps set, each reporting the 1964 season. Houston, renamed from the Colt .45s to the Astros in December 1964, has none; #426 Milwaukee Braves is the franchise's last Milwaukee team card.
The story on this card
This team card reports the 1964 Philadelphia Phillies, who led the National League for most of the season before a late-September collapse cost them the pennant; they finished 92-70, tied for second with Cincinnati, one game behind the champion Cardinals. Manager Gene Mauch's club played at Connie Mack Stadium. Rookie Dick Allen powered the offense, leading the league in runs, triples, and total bases on his way to Rookie of the Year honors, while ace Jim Bunning threw a perfect game against the Mets on Father's Day, the first in the National League since 1880. Card #338 is part of Topps' fourth print series for 1965 and carries a single team photo, the standard format for that year's team-card subset.
