1966 Topps #379 St. Louis Cardinals
Hall of Famers on the 1965 St. Louis Cardinals roster: Lou Brock, Steve Carlton, Bob Gibson and Red Schoendienst.

About this card
Nineteen team cards cover twenty clubs - Houston has none. Three of them, #303 Indians, #326 Braves and #404 Pirates, were printed with and without a dot between the standings line and the league name in the band at the foot of the front, and both states are tracked here.
The story on this card
This team card reports on the 1965 St. Louis Cardinals, who finished seventh in the National League at 80-81, sixteen and a half games behind the champion Los Angeles Dodgers, a comedown from their World Series title the year before. New general manager Bob Howsam reshaped the roster with a series of trades that year, some more successful than others. Manager Red Schoendienst's club played that season at Busch Stadium I, formerly Sportsman's Park, in what proved to be the ballpark's last full season before the Cardinals moved downtown to the new Busch Stadium. The club's roster carried four future Hall of Famers: Lou Brock, Steve Carlton, Bob Gibson and Schoendienst himself. Card #379 belongs to print series five of the 1966 Topps set.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Data as of 2026-09-04. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. Where SGC registers no separate row for a variation state, its slabs of that card are listed under the base state.
