1967 Topps #62 1st Series Checklist: 1-109
Two printing states differ on the back: the copyright symbol under the last entry, #109 Tribe Thumpers, sits beneath either the T or the r of Tribe.

About this card
The seven checklist cards (#62, 103, 191, 278, 361, 454, 531) introduced floating-head star photos - Frank Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Jim Kaat, Roberto Clemente, Juan Marichal and Brooks Robinson in card order. From 1967 each checklist's range matches one distribution series exactly: #62 lists its own series (1-109), and the other six each list the series after the one they were issued in. Four of the seven (#62, #103, #191, #454) carry catalogued variations.
The story on this card
Card 62 is the first series checklist for the 1967 Topps set, covering numbers 1 through 109 of what was, at 609 cards across seven series, the largest Topps issue to date. The front pictures Frank Robinson, coming off his 1966 Triple Crown and MVP season with the Orioles, in a floating-head photo that introduced the new 1967 checklist design. Collectors separate two printing states of this card by a small copyright-line difference in the checklist text: one shows the copyright symbol beneath the T of "Tribe," the other beneath the r. The 1967 set brought back facsimile autographs after an eight-year absence, turned its player-card backs vertical for the first time since 1953, and was the last Topps issue to picture the Kansas City Athletics before the franchise moved to Oakland for 1968.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Data as of 2026-09-04. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. Where a grader registers a variation separately its population is listed under that variation; SGC slabs whose label names no variation are listed as not designated, while PSA slabs whose label names no variation are counted under 62a - Copyright Symbol Beneath T. PSA registers a row for every one of the 624 states; SGC lists no separate row for the #149 white-streak state.
