The story on this card
Card 516 in the 1967 Topps set is the San Francisco Giants team card, part of print series six. It reports the club's 1966 season, when the Giants finished second in the National League at 93-68, a game and a half behind the pennant-winning Los Angeles Dodgers. The card carries a posed team photo on the front, and the 1966 roster included five future Hall of Famers: Orlando Cepeda, Juan Marichal, Willie Mays, Willie McCovey and Gaylord Perry, alongside players such as Jesus Alou, Jim Davenport, Jim Ray Hart, Billy Hoeft and Lindy McDaniel. The Giants played their home games at Candlestick Park, fielding one of the era's deepest pitching-and-power lineups just short of another pennant.
