1968 Topps #192 3rd Series Checklist 197-283
The third-series checklist (197-283), issued in series 2, pictures Carl Yastrzemski of the Boston Red Sox; back text ties to Topps' companion Baseball Playing Card Game promotion.

About this card
The seven checklist cards (#67, 107, 192, 278, 356, 454, 518) each carry a player portrait in a circle beside the series title - Jim Kaat, Juan Marichal, Carl Yastrzemski, Orlando Cepeda, Ken Holtzman, Frank Robinson and Clete Boyer in order. Six of the seven exist in two states; #67 is the only checklist without a variation.
The story on this card
Card 192 is the set's third-series checklist, listing cards 197 through 283 for collectors checking off their sets; Topps printed it a series early, in the second series. Rather than a player card, it names Carl Yastrzemski of the Boston Red Sox on the front to draw eyes to it, fresh off his 1967 AL Triple Crown and MVP season. The back ties into Topps' companion Baseball Playing Card Game promotion that ran alongside the regular set that year, and printers ran two back versions describing that insert, one reading Playing Card Game and the other simply Playing Card. Checklists like this one get chased by set builders for completion as much as for the star face on front, and Yastrzemski's presence makes this one of the more recognizable checklist cards in the set.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Data as of 2026-09-04. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. Where a grader registers a variation separately its population is listed under that variation; PSA slabs whose label names no variation are listed as not designated, while SGC slabs whose label names no variation are counted under 192a - Special Bb Playing Card Game. Slabs of the yellow team-letter #49 and #66 are 1968 Milton Bradley game cards and are not counted here.
