1971 Topps #369 Checklist: 394-523

About this card
This is one of the seven checklist cards (#54, #123, #161, #206, #369, #499 and #619). Six of them list one print series each, and every series checklist after the first was printed in the series before the one it lists - #123 lists the second series and is a first-series card. #161 is the checklist for the Topps coins insert, not a series checklist. Four of them - #123, #206, #369 and #619 - come in more than one printing.
The story on this card
Card #369 is a checklist printed in the third series that lists the fourth series, #394-523. The set is best known for its black borders, which make strict mint condition a challenge. Collectors separate #369 by the helmet pictured on the front, which comes in three printings: orange, red without a line, and red with a line. Checklist #123 has its card number at bottom right or centered, and #619 comes in three printings, one of them without the copyright line on the back, so the master set carries several checklist variants.
