The story on this card

The 1970 Astros went 79-83 under manager Harry Walker, good for fourth place in the National League West, 23 games behind the pennant-winning Reds. It was the first time Houston had finished as high as fourth, and the club set records with 744 runs and 129 home runs while playing in the Astrodome. Second baseman Joe Morgan, a future Hall of Famer, and shortstop Denis Menke went to the All-Star Game, and Morgan stole 42 bases. Third baseman Doug Rader hit 25 home runs and won the first of five straight Gold Gloves. Cesar Cedeno debuted on June 20 at Atlanta and hit his first homer on July 6, and Bob Watson hit two grand slams in September. Topps issued the Astros team card as #722 in the sixth series of the 1971 set.
