The story on this card
Atlanta finished fifth in the National League West in 1975 at 67-94, and the managing changed hands in August. Clyde King's club fell under .500 on May 23, and he was fired August 29 with the club at 58-76, 31 1/2 games behind Cincinnati. Special scout Connie Ryan finished the year 9-18. In October general manager Eddie Robinson hired Dave Bristol, a former Reds and Brewers manager whose Reds finished in the first division in each of his three full seasons, 1967 through 1969. Bristol is the man in the inset on the front of this card. Phil Niekro, a Hall of Famer, was on the roster. The Braves scored 583 runs and drew 534,672 to Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. The Braves team card is #631 in the 1976 Topps set.
