The story on this card

Kansas City won 91 games in 1975, the best record in franchise history, and finished second in the American League West, six games behind the Oakland Athletics. Manager Jack McKeon was fired on July 24 with the club at 50-46, and Whitey Herzog, pictured in the inset on card #236, took over and went 41-25. First baseman John Mayberry became the first Royals player with 30 home runs in a season, hitting 34, and set a club record with 106 RBI. George Brett hit .308 and led the American League with 195 hits, Harmon Killebrew played his final season, and Herzog later joined both of them in the Hall of Fame. Royals Stadium drew 1,151,836 that year.
