The story on this card

Philadelphia went 86-76 in 1975 for its first winning season in eight years, finishing second in the National League East, six and a half games behind Pittsburgh. The club traded first baseman Willie Montanez to the Giants for Garry Maddox on May 4 and acquired Dick Allen three days later, after Mike Schmidt and Dave Cash lobbied general manager Paul Owens for him. On May 14, 30,908 fans at Veterans Stadium gave Allen a standing ovation in his first game back, and Steve Carlton shut out Cincinnati 4-0. Allen batted fifth between Greg Luzinski and Schmidt. Manager Danny Ozark appears in the front inset on #384, and the 1976 Topps set lists Schmidt first on its 1975 NL home run leaders card, #193.
