The story on this card
The 1975 Padres went 71-91 under John McNamara, 37 games behind the Reds, but their fourth-place finish in the National League West was the first time the club had avoided last place. Randy Jones went 20-12 with a league-best 2.24 ERA, was the team's lone All-Star and won the Sporting News NL Comeback Player of the Year award. Willie McCovey hit 23 home runs, and Dave Winfield drove in 76 runs from right field. Tito Fuentes batted .280, and Danny Frisella saved nine games. The club played at San Diego Stadium and drew 1,281,747. Card #331 shows McNamara in a front inset, and the back is a checklist of Padres players.
