About Honus Wagner
Born 1874 in Chartiers, PA (d. 1955), Honus Wagner was a right-handed shortstop who debuted in 1897 and played 21 major-league seasons. He batted .327 with 3,415 hits, 101 home runs, and 722 stolen bases in 2,792 games. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1936. His 1909-11 T206 card is the most famous and valuable trading card in the world, having been pulled from production early after Wagner objected, leaving only a few dozen in existence.
