The story on this card
Card 307 belongs to the World Series subset in the fourth print series of the 1961 Topps set. The front pictures Mickey Mantle and the card recalls Game 2, played October 6, 1960 at Forbes Field after Pittsburgh had taken the opener 6-4. New York piled up nineteen hits off six Pirate pitchers in a 16-3 rout that evened the Series. Mantle drove in five on a two-run homer off Fred Green in the fifth and a three-run shot off Joe Gibbon in the seventh. Bob Turley took the win, working into the ninth before Bobby Shantz closed it out. The Yankees outscored Pittsburgh 46-17 through six games and still lost Game 7.
