The story on this card
Card #476 in the 1962 Topps set is the Baltimore Orioles team card, from print series 6. It looks back on 1961, when Baltimore went 95-67 and finished third in the American League, 14 games behind the champion Yankees - a franchise-record win total. Paul Richards stepped down on August 30 to run the expansion Houston club, and coach Lum Harris went 17-10 the rest of the way. Jim Gentile hit 46 homers with 141 RBI, Brooks Robinson played all 163 games at third, and Hoyt Wilhelm saved 18 out of the Memorial Stadium bullpen. Two more future Hall of Famers wore the uniform: Whitey Herzog, in from Kansas City that January, and Dick Williams, acquired in April, both later elected to Cooperstown as managers.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Snapshot 2026-09-24. Half-grades fold down (8.5→8), and PSA's qualified grades are counted separately from the straight-grade rows shown here. Slabs of the three cards printed #139 are joined by description, never by number alone. PSA registers the green tints as a separate set; a tint's population is listed under that state of the card it belongs to.
