1962 Topps #132 Los Angeles Angels Team

About this card
This is one of the eighteen team cards in the set. Neither 1962 expansion club, the New York Mets or the Houston Colt .45s, has one.
The story on this card
This team card reports the Angels' first season, 1961, and their only year at Wrigley Field, a former Pacific Coast League park. Stocked in baseball's first expansion draft, which opened with their pick of Yankees pitcher Eli Grba, the club went 70-91 under Bill Rigney, eighth in a ten-team American League and nine games clear of last-place Kansas City and fellow newcomer Washington. That.435 is still the best by any expansion club. Wrigley's short foul lines played to hitters: five men reached 20 home runs, Leon Wagner leading at 28, and Los Angeles went 46-36 at home but 24-55 on the road.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Snapshot 2026-09-24. Half-grades fold down (8.5→8), and PSA's qualified grades are counted separately from the straight-grade rows shown here. Where a grader registers a variation separately its population is listed under that variation. Slabs of the three cards printed #139 are joined by description, never by number alone. PSA registers the green tints as a separate set; a tint's population is listed under that state of the card it belongs to.
