1965 Topps #508 7th Series Checklist: 507-598

About this card
The seven checklist cards (#79, 104, 189, 273, 361, 443, 508) each list one series, and in 1965 the seven checklist ranges are the seven distribution series exactly (#1-88, 89-176, 177-264, 265-352, 353-429, 430-506, 507-598). Two of them, #79 and #508, are the only cards in the set with catalogued variations.
The story on this card
Card 508 is the seventh-series checklist for the 1965 Topps set, listing card numbers 507 through 598, the last of the set's seven series checklists. The 598-card set runs across seven series, distributed in nickel and penny wax packs, with every card back framed by the set's thick blue-green border, and this closing series, numbers 507 through 598, is the set's high-number run, only slightly tougher to complete than the rest, with the short prints falling inside numbers 523 through 598. Collectors track two states of card 508, one with large print on the front and one with small print on the front; some catalogs call the small-print card the corrected one. Like every checklist in the issue it carries no player photograph or biography. It falls in the set's seventh series, a genuine high number.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Data as of 2026-09-04. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. Where a grader registers a variation separately its population is listed under that variation; SGC slabs whose label names no variation are counted under 508a - Large Print On Front. The two checklist variations, #79 and #508, are listed under the wording PSA uses for each state.
