The story on this card
Card #308 in the fourth series reports the Pirates' 1967 finish: an 81-81 record and sixth place in the National League, a letdown after entering the year as pennant favorites. Roberto Clemente carried the club, winning his fourth NL batting crown at .357 while leading the majors with 209 hits, and he capped the season with a home run and his 110th RBI on the final day. Willie Stargell added 20 home runs and 73 RBI in support, and Bill Mazeroski anchored the infield with 163 games at second base. The names Pirates collectors look for are Clemente, Stargell, and Mazeroski, the 1967 club's three future Hall of Famers.
