The story on this card

The Cleveland Indians of 1969 opened with a 1-15 record and finished 62-99 in sixth place, last in the newly formed American League East. Al Dark managed the club, which had gone 86-75 the year before and entered the year with hopes built on its pitching. That pitching came apart. Luis Tiant, 21-9 with a 1.60 ERA in 1968, fell to 9-20. Sam McDowell held up at 18-14 with a 2.94 ERA. The Indians scored 573 runs and allowed 717, and drew 619,970 to Cleveland Stadium. Their 1970 Topps team card is #637, a high number from the seventh series.
