The story on this card

The 1972 Houston Astros went 84-69, the first winning season in franchise history and a club record for wins, ending 10 1/2 games behind the Cincinnati Reds in the NL West. Harry Walker's club was 67-54 when he was fired after the August 25 loss to Montreal; Salty Parker managed one game, and Hall of Famer Leo Durocher closed out the year at 16-15. Cesar Cedeno hit for the cycle on August 2, the first Astro to do so. His 22 home runs and 55 steals made him the second player in the 20-50 club after Lou Brock, and he and Lee May played in the All-Star Game. Houston led the league with 708 runs and a club-record 134 homers. This is the Astros team card, #158, from the second series.
