The story on this card
Pittsburgh won 92 games in 1976 and still finished second in the NL East, nine games behind a 101-61 Philadelphia club. That ended the Pirates' run of five division titles in six years, and it was Danny Murtaugh's last season as their manager. Dave Parker hit .313 with 90 RBI and 168 hits. Al Oliver hit .323, and Richie Zisk hit 21 home runs with 89 RBI. Willie Stargell played 117 games and hit 20 home runs. John Candelaria went 16-7 with a 3.15 ERA and no-hit the Dodgers 2-0 on August 9. The club hit 110 home runs and saved 35 games. Card #354 pictures the Pirates team and names Chuck Tanner as manager.
