About Paul Pressey
Widely credited as one of the NBA's original point forwards, Paul Pressey was the 6-5 wing Milwaukee trusted to run its offense, leading the Bucks in assists five straight seasons. His path there was charmed: a 37-0 NJCAA championship year at Western Texas College, then MVC Player of the Year honors at Tulsa — which later retired his No. 25 — before the Bucks took him 20th overall in 1982. Pressey made the All-Defensive First Team in 1985 and 1986 and the Second Team in 1987, helping Milwaukee reach three Eastern Conference Finals alongside Sidney Moncrief. Across 11 seasons with the Bucks, Spurs, and Warriors he totaled 7,664 points and 3,715 assists, then spent two decades as an NBA assistant, picking up a ring with the 1999 Spurs. Card #75 catches him mid-prime in Milwaukee — a veteran issue, not a rookie card, but the definitive Fleer look at the do-everything Buck.
