About Hughie Jennings

Born 1869 in Pittston, PA (d. 1928), Hughie Jennings was a right-handed shortstop who debuted in 1891 and played 17 major-league seasons. He batted .311 with 1,527 hits, 18 home runs, and 359 stolen bases in 1,285 games. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1945.
