About Sam Crawford
Born 1880 in Wahoo, NE (d. 1968), Sam Crawford was a left-handed outfielder who debuted in 1899 and played 19 major-league seasons. He batted .309 with 2,961 hits, 97 home runs, and 366 stolen bases in 2,517 games. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1957.
