About Eddie Kaw
Eddie Kaw was the featured halfback of Gil Dobie's great Cornell teams, starring from 1920 to 1922 as the Big Red went 22-2 with unbeaten seasons in 1921 and 1922 that brought national championship recognition. A consensus All-American in both of those years, Kaw piled up 90 points in 1921 and saved his masterpiece for Penn at Franklin Field, splashing through a muddy quagmire for five of Cornell's six touchdowns in a 41-0 rout, the worst defeat Penn had suffered since the series began. Writers marveled that he skimmed over the muck as if he were running on a cinder track. Kaw played one season with the NFL's Buffalo Bisons in 1924, then left the game for business, working as an executive with Fox Films and Pathe News. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1954.
