1955 Topps All-American #30 Wes Fesler
Won the 1930 Chicago Tribune Silver Football, the Big Ten's MVP award.

About Wes Fesler
Wes Fesler was one of the most complete college athletes Ohio State ever produced, winning nine varsity letters in football, basketball, and baseball while making Phi Beta Kappa. At end he was a three-time All-American from 1928 to 1930, capped by a unanimous selection as a senior, when he also carried off the Chicago Tribune Silver Football as the Big Ten's most valuable player; against Northwestern in 1929 he scooped up a fumble and returned it 95 yards for a touchdown. Pittsburgh coach Jock Sutherland called him 'a one man team.' Fesler came back to coach his alma mater from 1947 to 1950, sharing the 1949 Big Ten title and beating California in the Rose Bowl, then finished his coaching career at Minnesota from 1951 to 1953. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1954.
