1974 Topps #291 Don Hahn

About Don Hahn
Hahn played 110 games for the Mets in 1974 and hit .251 with 4 home runs. On December 3, 1974, he went to the Phillies with Tug McGraw and Dave Schneck for Del Unser, John Stearns and Mac Scarce. His 1974 Topps card, #291, lists him with the New York Mets.
Don Hahn was a right-handed outfielder, known primarily for his defense, who played seven major league seasons between 1969 and 1975 for the Montreal Expos, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals and San Diego Padres. A San Francisco native who attended Campbell High School, he was a 17th-round pick of the Giants in 1966. On April 8, 1969, he was the starting center fielder in the Expos' first game, an 11-10 win at Shea Stadium, and he fielded the first ball in franchise history, Tommie Agee's single in the first inning. He became the starting center fielder for the pennant-winning 1973 Mets and started all 12 postseason games, as New York beat Cincinnati 3-2 in the NLCS and lost the World Series to Oakland 4-3. That July he collided in the outfield with left fielder George Theodore, who suffered a dislocated hip. Hahn finished with 454 games, a .236 average and 7 home runs.
