1977 Topps #366 Ted Sizemore

About Ted Sizemore
In 1976, back with the Dodgers, Sizemore hit .241 in 84 games as a utility man. Told he would stay in that role, he asked for a trade, and in December the Phillies sent catcher Johnny Oates for him. His 1977 Topps #366 pictures him with the Dodgers.
Ted Sizemore was a second baseman who spent twelve big-league seasons with the Dodgers, Cardinals, Phillies, Cubs and Red Sox from 1969 to 1980. Drafted by Los Angeles in 1966 out of the University of Michigan, he broke in splitting time at shortstop and second base and won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 1969. Traded to St. Louis after the 1970 season, he settled in as an everyday second baseman and batted .282 with 54 RBIs in 1973. He later returned to the Dodgers, then joined the Phillies for two playoff runs against his old club in the 1977 and 1978 National League Championship Series. He closed his career with the Cubs and the Red Sox. A contact hitter, Sizemore finished with a .262 career batting average over 1,411 games. After retiring he spent more than two decades with Rawlings Sporting Goods.
