The story on this card

Card #121 is the first of the six checklists in the 1979 Topps set. It lists #1-121, a range that opens with the eight League Leaders cards and includes Nolan Ryan at #115 and Ozzie Smith at #116, the set's key rookie card. Team cards in the range pair a club with its manager, among them Gene Mauch's Minnesota Twins at #41, Joe Torre's New York Mets at #82 and Danny Ozark's Philadelphia Phillies at #112. Wax packs held 12 cards and a stick of gum and sold for 20 cents. The next checklist, #241, covers #122-242, and the other four are #353, #483, #602 and #669.
