Fleer's 1988-89 comeback set caught Mark Price at the perfect moment: card #25 — matching both his Cleveland jersey and his 1986 draft slot — is the rookie card of "The OK Kid," a nickname nodding to his Oklahoma roots. A three-time All-American at Georgia Tech, Price lasted until Dallas's pick at 25th overall in 1986, then went to the Cavaliers in a draft-day trade that helped build an Eastern Conference power. The season this card hit shelves, the 6-0 point guard made the first of his four All-Star teams and became just the second player ever, after Larry Bird, to post a 50-40-90 shooting season. Over 12 years (1986-98) with Cleveland, Washington, Golden State, and Orlando, he totaled 10,989 points and 4,863 assists, shot .904 from the line, earned 1993 All-NBA First Team honors, won back-to-back Three-Point Contests in 1993 and 1994, and, by Steve Kerr's telling, pioneered splitting the pick-and-roll trap. Cleveland retired his No. 25.
