1988-89 Fleer #57 Reggie Miller
Reggie Miller's rookie card.

About Reggie Miller
Card #57 in 1988-89 Fleer is Reggie Miller's rookie card — the arrival of the purest shooter of his generation. After finishing second on UCLA's all-time scoring list behind only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Miller went 11th overall to Indiana in the 1987 NBA Draft, a pick Pacers fans famously booed because they wanted Indiana hero Steve Alford. He answered by playing all 18 seasons (1987-2005) at shooting guard for the Pacers, earning five All-Star nods and retiring with 25,279 points and an NBA-record 2,560 three-pointers. Dubbed "The Knick Killer" for his pressure-packed shooting against New York — capped by eight points in 8.9 seconds in the 1995 playoffs — he led the league in free-throw percentage five times, won Olympic gold in 1996, and saw his No. 31 raised to the rafters in Indianapolis. The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame called in 2012, and the NBA 75th Anniversary Team followed in 2021.
