About Vern Fleming

A smooth 6-5 point guard from Queens by way of Georgia, Vern Fleming won Olympic gold with the 1984 U.S. team in Los Angeles before the Pacers grabbed him 18th overall in that summer's draft. He spent eleven seasons running Indiana's offense, and this Fleer issue catches him square in his prime: 14.3 points and 6.5 assists a game in 1988-89. The next season he started all 82 games with career bests of 14.3 points and 7.4 assists, and in November 1990 he dished a career-high 18 assists against Houston. A First-Team All-SEC pick at Georgia in 1984, Fleming wrapped up with New Jersey in 1995-96, retiring with 10,125 points and 4,293 assists over 893 games. Card #55 is not his rookie card — he was already a fifth-year veteran when this set hit shelves.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Snapshot 2026-08-18. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. The graders do not break out the stickers, so sticker pages carry no table.
