1955 Topps All-American #60 Tiger Hill
Finished tenth in the 1938 Heisman Trophy vote.

About Tiger Hill
Dan “Tiger” Hill centered one of college football's most famous defensive teams, Duke's 1938 “Iron Dukes,” who went unbeaten, untied, and unscored upon through the regular season. A three-year starter at center and linebacker from 1936 to 1938 and co-captain as a senior, Hill earned first-team All-America honors in 1938 and finished tenth in that year's Heisman Trophy voting, rare territory for an interior lineman; coach Wallace Wade called him the heart of the team. The perfect season ended only when USC scored with 41 seconds left in the 1939 Rose Bowl to win 7-3. Drafted by the NFL's Brooklyn Dodgers in 1939, Hill instead made his career at Duke, serving as assistant athletic director into the 1950s, and the school still presents the Dan “Tiger” Hill Award to its top offensive lineman. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1962.
