1958 Topps #100 Early Wynn
Uncorrected error (per Beckett): back says 17 years in the majors. Yellow-letter variation tracked by Beckett as YT. It was never corrected, so there is only one version of the card.

About Early Wynn
Early Wynn (1920-1999) signed with the Washington Senators organization in 1937 and reached the majors in 1939. A durable, famously combative right-hander, he pitched 23 seasons for the Senators, Cleveland Indians (1949-57, 1963), and Chicago White Sox (1958-62). A nine-time All-Star, Wynn led the American League in ERA (1950), wins (1954, 1959), and strikeouts (1957 and 1958), and at age 39 he won the 1959 Cy Young Award-then a single honor covering both leagues-while pitching the 'Go-Go' White Sox to the pennant. He appeared in two World Series (1954, 1959) but never won a title. Renowned for pitching inside, he reputedly called the space between the white lines 'my office.' Wynn finished with exactly 300 wins, grinding out his 300th in 1963, along with 2,334 strikeouts. Joining the White Sox in 1958, he led the AL in strikeouts for a second consecutive year. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1972.
