1966 Topps #301 Greg Bollo

About Greg Bollo
Issued from the set's fourth series, this solo card is not Bollo's rookie card, a distinction that belongs to his 1965 issue. It follows Bollo into his second and final big league season, when he opened the year back in the minors with Lynchburg before a September recall to the White Sox. He appeared in three games that stretch, including the only start and only decision of his career, a loss to the Yankees on October 2, 1966, which proved to be his last major league appearance.
Greg Bollo was a right-handed relief pitcher who reached the majors with the Chicago White Sox. Born in Detroit in November 1943, the 6-foot-4 righty signed with the White Sox as a free agent in 1964 and split that season between the Tidewater Tides and Clinton C-Sox before earning a callup. He debuted in the majors on May 9, 1965, and worked mostly out of the bullpen across parts of two big league seasons, finishing with a 3.34 ERA over 18 games. His only career decision, a loss, came in his lone major league start, against the Yankees in October 1966. After his time with Chicago ended, Bollo continued pitching in the minors for several more seasons, appearing for the Evansville White Sox, Hawaii Islanders, Columbus White Sox, and Tucson Toros before leaving the game.

Graded population — a scarcity guide, not a price. Data as of 2026-09-04. Half grades fold down for both graders (8.5→8); PSA qualified slabs (OC, ST, PD, MC and the like) are not counted. Where SGC registers no separate row for a variation state, its slabs of that card are listed under the base state.
