Steve Foucault was a right-handed reliever who pitched in the majors from 1973 to 1978 for the Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Royals. Born in Duluth, Minnesota, he attended Miami Coral Park Senior High and South Georgia College before reaching Texas. He appeared in 277 games without a start and finished 35-36 with a 3.21 ERA. He struck out 307 in 496 2/3 innings and saved 52 games. On April 12, 1977, Texas traded him to Detroit for Willie Horton. After baseball he worked as a police officer in Arlington, Texas, during the 1980s, and later coached pitchers for the Newark Bears, Evansville Otters and Long Island Ducks. He was pitching coach when Newark won the 2007 Atlantic League championship.
