1976 Topps #333 Bob Coluccio

About Bob Coluccio
Coluccio's 1976 Topps #333 listed him with the Chicago White Sox. He had hit .202 with 5 home runs and 18 RBI for Milwaukee and Chicago in 1975. He played 44 games in right field for the White Sox that year.
Bob Coluccio was a right-handed outfielder from Centralia, Washington, who played in the majors from 1973 to 1978 for the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals. The Seattle Pilots drafted him in the 17th round in 1969 out of Centralia High School, and he signed for $500 a month rather than operate a paver for his father's company. He made the Brewers out of 1973 spring training after an injury to Dave May and played 124 games that year, hitting .224 with 15 home runs and 13 stolen bases. Milwaukee's Italian-American fans took to him, and broadcasters Bob Uecker and Merle Harmon nicknamed him the Macaroni Pony. The Brewers traded him to the White Sox for Bill Sharp on May 8, 1975. He was released on April 1, 1978, and finished with five games for St. Louis. He retired with a .220 average, 26 home runs and 33 stolen bases in 370 games.
